New FOB cards since May 1th, 2010iba has innovated his FOB-technology with the new FOB-D cards, which will replace the existing FOB-S and FOB-X cards from May 1th, 2010 onwards.More and more data are required. For the users of our systems, the trend is clear in the direction to gather and record as many signals to perform an analisis with high reliability on these data. A critical point for the performance of the overall system, especially for large data volumes and high transmission rates is the forwarding of the over fiber optic (FO) detected signals from the FOB card into the memory of the computer. The improvements of the new ibaFOB-D cards meet exactly these requirements. By using DMA capability (direct memory access), the processor load will be significantly reduced by using these new cards. 2 x input/output channels 1 x input/output channel will replace all previous types of ibaFOB-S and iba-FOB-X cards in full compatibility. Therefore ibaFOB-S and iba-FOB-X cards are available from 1th May on only for spare parts or for special applications (with ibaLogic V3 or ibaScope) and on request only . |
